What is phrasal verb ?

Phrasal verbs are phrases that indicate actions. They are generally used in spoken English and informal texts. A phrasal verb is the combinations of two or three words.

E.g: sit up, cut in, give away, look after, look forward to, etc

Types of phrasal verbs

  1. Transitive phrasal verbs
  2. Intransitive phrasal verbs
  3. Separable phrasal verbs
  4. Inseparable phrasal verbs
