What is profile?
A profile is a written portrait of a person. Short life story is given in the form of clues. You need to write in a paragraph. In this type of question writing skill is valuated.
Profile writing tricks:
1. Read the profile carefully.
2. Write the incidents in chronological order.
3. Make grammatically correct sentences.
4. Don’t forget to cover all given clues.
5. Use correct punctuation marks.
1. Write a paragraph on Abraham Lincoln using the profile. 1×3=3
1809 – born near Hodgenville, U.S.A.
1847 – House of Representatives.
1861 – 16th president of United States.
1865 – died at the age of 56.
1900 – Hall of Fame award.

Abraham Lincoln was born in 1809 near Hodgenville in U.S.A. He became House of Representatives in 1847. Later in 1861 he had become 16th president of United States. This great personality passed away in 1865 at the age of 56. He was awarded with ‘Hall of Fame award’ in 1900.
