Task 1: Read the passage given below and answer the questions at the end.

On 6th August 1945, the first baby bomb dropped on the densely populated industrial town of Hiroshima in Japan, flattening the city. At least 78,000 people and possibly many thousands more died or suffered fatal injuries. Many more were injured, and all their dwellings suffered damage or destruction. The city’s military garrison disappeared. Only a handful of doctors survived, and most hospitals and medical supplies were destroyed. Citizens of neighboring towns described the burned living and dead as no longer recognizable as human, with their flesh raw and blackened, their hair gone, and their facial features melted. It was the most shocking sight humanity had ever witnessed.

Ramakrishna is a very popular person in his locality because he is helpful and soft-spoken. He is also the best gardener in the locality. He is not only a loving father but also an ideal gentleman among his neighbours.
