Activity 42.1: Complete the story.

Answer:

One day, a boy was walking alone on the road at midnight. He was a student of 16 years old. The boy thought to take a walk and feel the fresh air. The streets were quiet and deserted. He was lost in his thoughts. The sound of T.V. programmes were coming from the houses. A dim light was falling on the streets.

On the highway at the turning, suddenly a car stopped. The cop asked, “what is your name?” He said, “Anand”. The cop asked, “What are you doing at this time of the hour? Don’t you have a family?” He answered, “I have.” The cop told him to sit in his car. He took him to the police station. When he asked, “What is my offence?” He said, “You are arrested on the basis of suspicion”.

Activity 42.2:

Complete the story using the outline given.

Answer:

Once up on a time a greedy cat stole a piece of meat from a butcher shop. Going to a lonely place, he wished to eat the meat with delight. He found a bridge in way. When he was going on the bridge he saw his own reflection in the clean water. He thought it that it was another cat which had meat in its mouth. The cat said itself, “I must have the meat” He became greedy. As soon as he opened his mouth to bark another, the piece of meat fell down from his mouth into the water. It was washed away with the current of the river. He became sad for his foolishness.
