‘I am the Land’ ಮರೀನಾ ಡಿ ಬೆಲ್ಲಗೆಂಟಾ ಬರೆದ ಕವಿತೆ. ಈ ಕವಿತೆಯನ್ನು ಕವಿಯು ಭೂಮಿಯ ತಾಳ್ಮೆಯನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಭೂಮಿಯು ತಾಯಿಯಂತೆ. ಮಾತೃ ಭೂಮಿಯು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರೀತಿಯ ಉಲ್ಲಂಘನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಲ್ಲದು.

ಮೊದಲ ಚರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಆತನು ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದನು. ಆದರೆ ಭೂಮಿಯು ಕಾಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಕೋಪದಿಂದ ಕೂಗುತ್ತಾನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಭೂಮಿಯು ಸಹನೆಯಿಂದ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಕೆಸರಿನ ರಂಧ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರಿನ ದೀಪಗಳಿಂದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಶೋಷಣೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಆದರೆ ಮಾತೃ ಭೂಮಿಯು ಈ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ದಿಟ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ರೈತ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಉಳುಮೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಗಿಡಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂದು ಕುಣಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಸೈನಿಕರು ಬಂದೂಕುಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೇಲಿ ಹಾಕುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಈ ಬೇಲಿ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಉಸಿರುಗಟ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಭೂಮಿ ತಾಯಿಯು ತಾಳ್ಮೆಯಿಂದ ಕಾಯುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಭೂಮಿಯು ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಸುತ್ತ ಬೇಲಿ ಹಾಕಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಸವಾಲು ಹಾಕಿತು.

‘I am the Land’ is a poem written by Marina De Bellagenta. We will learn summary of the poem I am the land. In this poem the poetess wants to describe the patience of the Earth. The earth is personified and like a mother. The mother earth can tolerate all sorts of violations.

In the first stanza she explains the man says he owned the earth. But the earth waits. The man shouts with rage then also the earth lie patiently. The man would exploit the earth making muddy holes and the lights of the car. But the mother earth would stare these things.

The farmer ploughs the land and grow the plants. The children would come and dance on the earth. The solders come with guns and put the fence on the earth. This fence suffocates the earth. But the mother earth patiently waits. The earth challenged the man that he cannot put a fence around the planet earth.
