1. Given below is a profile. Write a paragraph using the clues given below.                   1×3=3

Name                              :         Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose.

Date of birth and place     :         30th November 1858, Bikrampur.

Parents                             :         Bhagawan Chandra Bose, Bama Sundari Bose.

Achievements                  :         Invented ‘Cresco graph’ that detects small motions within plant tissues.

Awards                            :         Companion of the order of the Indian Empire (1903), Companion of the order of the star of India (1911), Knight Bachelor (1917).

Answer:

Jagadish Chandra Bose was born on 30th November 1858 in Bikrampur. His parents were Bhagawan Chandra Bose and Bama Sundari Bose. He invented a ‘Cresco graph’ that detects small motions within plant tissues. In acknowledgement of his achievements he was awarded the Companion of the order of the Indian Empire in 1903′, Companion of the order of the star of India in 1911 and Knight Bachelor in 1917.

One day – a fox – hungry – search- food – finally -farmer’s wall grapes – to reach – fox Jumped high opened his mouth to catch it missed tried again kept falling finally give up – go home – returning muttered grapes – sour– Moral.

Answer:

One day a fox was very hungry. He was looking about for something to eat. After sometime he saw farmer’s wall grapes. The fox was very much delighted. He thought of satisfying his hunger with grapes. They were hanging high up. The fox stood upon his hind legs, but failed to reach them. He made several jumps upwards. He could not get at them. Again the fox took a few paces back and tried to reach them but still failed. He was very tired of hunger. He went away saying that grapes were sour.

Moral of the story: – “It is easy to hate what you cannot get”

Answer:

A teacher is such an important person in the life of a student, who through his knowledge, patience and love give a strong shape to a student’s whole life. He is a teacher with good skills of teaching, friendly nature, good sense of humour, patient and easy-going.

I am one of the obedient students of him. Sometimes he gave us chocolates on doing well in the class tests and exams. He never gave us lots of assignments at home. He is very enthusiastic and also always motivated us for doing our best in the study.
