1) What did Baleshwar do as soon as he saw the girl lying next to the tracks?

Ans: On seeing the girl on the tracks, he immediately pulled the red emergency chain, bravely jumped off the still moving train and rushed towards the girl to help.

2) Why was there no help to Baleshwar? How did he manage to reach the road?

Ans: Everyone feared about getting trapped in courts or police, so there was no one to help him. He crossed through some shrubbery and followed the direction of the sounds until he found the road.

3) Who volunteered to help Baleshwar? How did he help him?

Ans: A tempo truck driver helped him. He helped to lay the girl down in the back of his truck and drove them to a small hospital.

4)  Why did Baleshwar revisit the spot where Roma had fallen?

Ans: Baleshwar revisited the spot where Roma had fallen to look for Roma’s belongings. Her brother said that her cell phone and hand bag were missing.

5) “Take the girl to Airoli”, suggested the cop. But Baleshwar disagreed. Why did he do so?

Ans: Baleshwar disagreed to take Roma to Airoli ,because Airoli was at least 10 kilometers away. Baleshwar thought that he had to go to the nearest hospital for the treatment of Roma.

6) Baleshwar had a good memory, do you agree with this? Give examples to support it?

Ans: Yes, he had good memory. He was able to remember the phone number of Roma’s brother given by Roma and contact him to inform about the accident.

7) The doctors at the Divine Multi Specialty hospital admitted Roma without any formalities. What made them to do so?

Ans: When Roma was brought to the hospital, the doctors saw the extent of her injuries, her condition was critical. So the doctors admitted her without any paper work.

8) If Baleshwar had not come forward to help Roma, what would have happened to her?

Ans: If Baleshwar had not come forward to help Roma, she would have bleed to death. Because she was bleeding behind her head.

9) Write briefly about the personal details of Roma Talreja and Baleshwar?

Ans: Roma was B.Com graduate from Pune. She worked as a call- centre executive in Mumbai. Baleshwar Mishra was a high school dropout from Mirzapur,U.P. He had come to Mumbai in search of a job.

10) How did the girl fall beside the tracks?

Ans: Roma Talreja had squeezed herself near the door of the crowded ladies compartment of a train. She tried to find some space to stand , suddenly she got pushed, lost her balance and was thrown out of the coach.
