A Preposition is word placed before a Noun or Pronoun to show its relation to some other word in the sentence. In other words, prepositions are words like on, at, to, etc. which shows the special relationship between a verb and a noun or 2 nouns.

e.g.: 1. Radhika lives at Nagara Halli.

2. The book is on the table.

3. She walked into the hall.

4. I had a cup of milk.

Some commonly used Prepositions are:   at, by, from, by, to, in, on, out, of, up with, through, till, off, near, toward, above, about, across, along, between, among, around, before, behind, below, beneath, under, beyond, inside, outside, within, after, beside, down, for, belongs, into, without etc.
