10. Bhagat Singh was a prominent freedom fighter in India’s struggle for independence. Born in 1907, he became involved in revolutionary activities at a young age. Bhagat Singh is best remembered for his daring acts against British rule, including the bombing of the Central Legislative Assembly in 1929, which was intended as a symbolic protest rather than to cause harm.
He was also involved in the killing of British officer John Saunders, avenging the death of Indian leader Lala Lajpat Rai.
