On August 15, 2022, the country will celebrate 75 years of independence. The Prime Minister had inaugurated this Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on March 12, 2021 at Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad so his festival will run from 12 March 2021 to 15 August 2023.
Its main motive is that by this every citizen of India will get to know about the untold incidents of the freedom struggle.
Prime Minister Modi started the Amrit Mahotsav on March 12, 2022 because on this day Mahatma Gandhi and his companions started ‘Salt Satyagraha’ in protest against the tax imposed by the British government on salt.
